The deal is that once year, for one week only (for the duration of the Corpus Christi celebrations, Toledo’s biggest annual event), a number of private houses open their patios (inner courtyards) for the general public to mooch around in.
I wasn’t intending to go this year, but then my friend Cristina, who I was having lunch with today, suggested that it would make for a fun photo hunt. And so it did 🙂
There was even one that had been turned into a private art gallery! Unfortunately, none of the pics I took of that one is in any way presentable.
I love that you get all your friends to get involved in the madness;)

They keep dragging me round with them. I’ve no control over this.

Yeah yeah 😉 Good to see you’ve recovered from my amazingly insightful post anyway! Took longer than the 30 minutes you claimed though – very unGerman of you. Tut tut…

You’ve got quite a good selection here. I’ll try my best to put up some of mine soon 🙂 (It does reflect)

Yours will be so much better! The last one didn’t turn out well at all. Except for the painting with the weird fish heads, lol.

Scary fishes… They really fricked me out, lol I’ll put up some of those. I think out of the thousands I took at least one must be decent.

What a marvelous idea, I would love to see these. It’s a bit like the Open Garden scheme over here.

Sadly, there were noticeably fewer than last year, coz the residents of the pretty patio buildings can’t be bothered with the hassle…

I had no idea about the courtyards and patios being opened in Toledo during the Corpus Christi festival.
Your photos have captured them well 🙂
Shame there were fewer than last year – you don’t think it will turn into another version of Cordoba’s Flower Fetival in their Patios, then?

I didn’t even know about Cordoba!

Yes, the horse! I have it from six different angles, lol. Wearing a jumper in that colour today 🙂
