Toledo’s Palacial Patios

Toledo Patio BrochuresThe deal is that once year, for one week only (for the duration of the Corpus Christi celebrations, Toledo’s biggest annual event), a number of private houses open their patios (inner courtyards) for the general public to mooch around in.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI wasn’t intending to go this year, but then my friend Cristina, who I was having lunch with today, suggested that it would make for a fun photo hunt. And so it did 🙂

There was even one that had been turned into a private art gallery! Unfortunately, none of the pics I took of that one is in any way presentable.

I took this one a few weeks ago. It's the patio of an historic building called Casa Del Judio (House of the Jew). My friend Olga (pictured) grew up here, and her mother still lives there

Yeah yeah 😉 Good to see you’ve recovered from my amazingly insightful post anyway! Took longer than the 30 minutes you claimed though – very unGerman of you. Tut tut…

You’ve got quite a good selection here. I’ll try my best to put up some of mine soon 🙂 (It does reflect)

Scary fishes… They really fricked me out, lol I’ll put up some of those. I think out of the thousands I took at least one must be decent.

I had no idea about the courtyards and patios being opened in Toledo during the Corpus Christi festival.

Your photos have captured them well 🙂

Shame there were fewer than last year – you don’t think it will turn into another version of Cordoba’s Flower Fetival in their Patios, then?
