I took these sunset shots Wednesday evening, after the mother of all thunderstorms (guess who got caught in it while out grocery shopping…? Yup, that would be drippy drenchy me. Ahrgh!!!)
Here is another nice one, which I took at the same spot a couple of months ago.
The pics are very beautiful.

Thanks 🙂 A bit grainy when you look more closely… I’m refusing to get one of those big shot cameras, lol.

I am not a professional. but I do imagining me sitting there enjoying these magnificent views 🙂

I think that’s the joy of it… rather than getting all techie about it, lol.

I amaze myself not being a techie once in a while (normally I am 🙂 )

This is such a beautiful sunset!! Having a warm shower afterwards always makes getting drenched in the rain worthwhile!!

Yeah… and at least it happened on the way home, not on the way out 😉

Sorry you got drenched.

Great shots. Sorry to hear you got caught in it. That happens to me a lot and I’m not smart enough to carry an umbrella. So if you see an idiot standing in the rain looking confused–that’s me!

Happens to me every other time I’m out grocery shopping – I must have really bad karma!
And we all got caught – I suddenly found myself with a dozen other people trapped in the foyer of a bank, lol. Nobody carries an umbrella here, it’s just not standard issue, like it is in London. Never left the house without one!

I never owned an umbrella until I moved to Boston in my 30s. It rains all the time there, more than in London. One time at the US Open in NY it poured and many of us ran for cover. I looked over and Andy Murray’s mother was standing right next to me. I wanted to snap a photo, but she didn’t look too friendly so I decided against it.

Gorgeous photos. All artists have to suffer for their work, it seems!

LOL, I’m no artist… but I should check the forecast more often rather than being driven outdoors by depleted chocolate stocks in my kitchen cupboards 😉

We got a thunderstorm this morning!! WHAT is going on with the weather in Spain?

Fuck knows!!! It’s looking lovely out, but I’ve grown very suspicious… I think I might have to resort to granting my brolly permanent residency in my bag, á lá London! Perish the thought…!

Can’t think of Toledo without prefacing it with ‘View of ‘….your challenge is to create a photographic version of El Greco’s painting…doable? Not? (Oh, and you’ll get a DSLR)…!!

I’m bailing out on the DSLR front, lol, I refuse to get sucked into that. But I do very much enjoy other people’s ‘professional’ photos, oh yes 🙂

Why? Weight? Money? fiddling with lenses?

I just can’t be arsed lugging it about. So, weight and inconvenience, yes. My wee digital one fits into my handbag very nicely, so I’ve always got it with me.

And the best camera you have is the one you have with you, and I don’t always lug mine about (weighs 2kilos)….

I’ve heard that saying – so true 🙂
The only reason I got a camera in the first place (I’ve never owned one!) was to liven up the blog.
