I’m having to make up the quota for some people who keep leaving their house without their camera.

love, love, LOVE, the first image where your eye is drawn to that door at the end, and the shadows replicating the brickwork – a very good composition. Don’t like dungeons though 😦

LOL, you’re not alone with the dungeon aversion… somebody else just said the same thing!
It’s bound to appeal to someone with a fetish, at least I’m hoping 😉

The Romans had a big influence round here… we’ve got a huge Roman circus, partially excavated, just outside the town wall. Not that this has anything to do with those two buildings in particular 😉

That first shot is truly gorgeous 🙂 I think that’s a consensus.

I never even noticed that walkway until a few weeks ago. It’s right by the entrance to the library, and I’d been in and out of there dozens of times! I just don’t pay any attention half the time…

To think they had chandeliers in their dungeons — how absurd! The picture entices to further explore what might lurk in the dark beyond. In the first picture the way seems clear and open – but what if the danger lurks behind the pillars? Anyway – much to stimulate phantasy – both directions.

Those green metal things you can see there on the left are cannon barrels, so really quite sinister as well 😉

Love that top shot. Beautifully done.

Thank you 🙂 It was so easy… because of the fence and gate, there was no other position/angle to take it from

Hard to find a good forest in the UK or Ireland. They’ve chopped them all down. It’s just not in their genes.
As a Bavarian, I positively pine for them 😉
