Oh dear….Are they blow-up legs?I look forward to your post on the market; I LOVE the markets in Spain and in the heat of summer my wardrobe consists entirely of cotton sundresses bought from the rastros.

I wish I could buy clothes from the markets, but I’ve got an odd body shape and need to try everything on, ESPECIALLY dresses.

LOL! Me, miniscule waist, enormous hips. I a size (or two!) smaller on top compared to my bottom half, which makes finding a nice dress quite a challenge. It’ll either be too baggy on top, or straining round my hips.

Thanks for the good memory… I walked to the market every Sunday to see how much trouble I cold get into spending money I shouldn’t and of course it was the best place to grab gifts for trips home.

Madrid in general isn’t for the claustrophobic but it doesn’t beat Istanbul for that. Walking through the Square in Bakırköy, beginning to descend the steps all that can be seen is a sea of people. It’s incredible.

I can’t take it all the time, but when you’re not in a hurry, it’s OK. London tube is horribly crowded at rush hour, I didn’t really enjoy that so much when I lived there.

What an abstemious luncheon. I’m disappointed for you, lol. (I had tortilla and salad, which was quite nice. Spanish tortilla made by a German, none the less, but NOT by me)

This reminds me of a bar (okay, strip joint) in New Orleans, called Big Daddy’s. They have a pair of mannequin legs swinging high over the entrance way. 🙂

Oh Jeeze, that’s scary. At least she’s not in bad shape! I am very curious about the market. Of course I didnt go there – I never ventured further than Corte Ingles in Arguielles, and Zara next to it, unless there was alcohol involved. I went to Prado like a week before returning to the States. Good times!
