I’m back in Toledo now (and have been for a full four hours), after the most fabulous ten days spent in my old home in North London. The weather was perfect – autumnal, warm and sunny – and even though I wasn’t able to re-visit all of my favourite haunts, I managed to include quite a few of them in my nostalgic tour. Like my beloved Hampstead Heath. Sigh. Let me share just a handful of photos…

Makes me wonder if there are some walls around the bathing ponds when men need to stay 200m away… judging by the pics, looks like the Autumn had an earlier arrival in the southern parts of the city than the seemingly green North parts!

I have NO idea where that is anyway :). Our studios are in the Millbank tower – near MI6? So I would probably spend most of my daylight hours around there.

SHOCKED at the idea of “women’s bathing ponds! Ha! So do the ladies skinny dip? Grab soap and have a bath? If the sign weren’t new looking, I’d think it was a Victorian Era relic, where sodden clothes hugging a female figure might be too scandalous for mixed company. I am curious, curious, curious!

Haven’t seen to many ‘Women Only’ signs. And the views are wonderful. Welcome home. I hope the trip back wasn’t too tiring. I love to travel but hate the process of getting to places.

I love all the people you included in the photos – the street photography feel adds much – like the man pointing in that first photo – and the others add to the mood and bring in a bit of a story . anyhow, smiling at the women only sign – nice capture there too.

Didn’t know about the bathing ponds! And didn’t get to explore HH when I was there. I had no idea that parts of it are so elevated. I had pictured it as being like Central Park but bigger.
