“I want to go to the museum.” Those were the words I never thought I’d hear. Ever. Not from the mouth of my brother. But he said them. And off to the museum we went. To the Deutsches Museum in Munich, to be exact, whose ample bowels are a splendid repository of science and technology paraphernalia. Germany has come up with quite a lot of this stuff over the years.
I won’t bore you with the fascinating details of the various exhibits (not being sarcastic for once, I love all that stuff!) – my photo hunt was rather aimed at the quirky side of things.
Or these windows reflecting a building site:
Some rooftop views:
I shall leave you with some famous last words (as displayed on a wall behind the knitted coral reef):
Love the spiral staircase….but the knitted mince (meat) is gross…

Yeah… bound to be a bit dry. On the upside: floss-while-you-eat 🙂

Really, that exhibit is positively crying out for a knitted vending machine with which to sell the knitted sausage.

…and all it needs to go down is a generous dollop of hot BBQ sauce 🙂 I think we should sell them the concept!

Love the rooftops, the stairwell and the knitted coral. The meat flower, not so much. Now to the real question: was there a rooftop café, and did they have cake?

There was a café – not on the rooftop, though. And yes, I did have a cake 🙂

Some fabulous images! Especially the heat sensor, and reflections. And those quotes are a hoot 😀

Yup… that Daimler quote is on a par with Bill Gates’s famous “640kB ought to be enough for anybody”

You have such a fabulous photographic eye. The staircase photo was fantastic.
And I love the knitted coral reef. And the quotes, especially the one about the lack of chauffeurs; I’m definitely feeling that lack right about now.

Where we’re pretty certain that few locals could pass a German driving test. Or perhaps any driving test.

It took me two attempts 😉 Or was it three…?

Ah, lovely Munich! Looked like a fun day out but NEIN to knitted meat 🙂 Were people surfing in the river too? I thought that was so cool when I was there!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, they do that – we saw that last year! Not sure the river is suitable for surfing at that particular spot, though 😉

Yeah, we sat in the cafe watching rather than actually participating 😉

Great pictures! Regarding the knitting coral reef…it looks very much like the blanket I am knitting at the mo. I am clearly struggling. Yikes.

Oh I was wondering why I couldn’t find a good chauffeur. 🙂
Lovely photos! My favorite was the spiral staircase.

I actually do rely on chauffeurs. That day, bro kindly volunteered 🙂

Love the staircase! I like knitting too, but to knit meat…? Or coral…?!

I could spend all day in museums and art galleries – much to the horror of my offspring, who end up sitting on a wall playing with their phones whilst their mother bounds around like a four year-old in Cadbury’s factory. I love the photos – you have an eye for a good picture opportunity. The knitted mince is gross.

Thank God for those phones and I don’t say that very often!
Ooooh, the Cadbury’s factory… it’s on my bucket list. As is the chocolate museum in Cologne, I so hope I’ll make it there eventually.

If I get to the Cadbury’s factory, they’ll have to weigh me on my way in, and again on my way out. I’ll have my bra and undies stuffed with fruit & nut.

You are the Queen of Quirk. I particularly liked the photo of your mum & brother. I’m guessing Brother is the wide one, yes? Super Dude! And i LOVE those quotes. ( thanks to whoever included English translations )

Oh yes… and, as you may be able to tell, he was pulling his T-shirt up at the time, proving that the activity in his stomach did, indeed, surpass that in his head. It’s a family trait 🙂

I was fascinated by what appears to be a comic or magazine at the bottom of that spiral staircase? I know! I know! Some people! 😦 And the knitted barrier reef of course 🙂
