Mid-Week Fireworks!

Maria and I went to watch a firework display Monday night in Toledo (locally known as “La Pólvora”), and it was much more spectacular than we had expected. The pictures don’t do it justice, but seeing as it’s my first ever attempt of …erm… shooting fireworks, I’ve decided to put them up anyway 🙂

Gorgeous! Very surreal, and so sharp – I actually really like fireworks shots with an amateur camera. Speaking of which – I have mine with me today! Proud?

YES!!!! That’s the first step. Now you’ve got to aim it at something and pull the trigger 😉
Give us a Moscow shot for tomorrow. This is your challenge. Maybe that bridge…?

Lol, no pressure! Actually that bridge is far, and I only see it on my beach trips. But challenge accepted – I took a few pix of the old town Moscow on my pre-work walk this morning, and I guess I can put up a semi-wordless post while working on the actual article-y bits (the beer one is half-way done-ish? plus 2 more in the works).

That’s my strategy as well! People seem to like pictures, though the best ones usually come about when you don’t expect it. I’ve always got my camera with me, it’s not much bigger than a phone.
Looking forward to the pics and the beer 🙂

I think those pictures are actually pretty damned good you know! Fireworks are hard to snap. Spain knows how to do a firework display! I think some of the best fireworks I have ever seen were at Las Fallas. What a lovely Monday night treat! 🙂

First attempt? Haha you should see my first attempt in comparison – there are only little tiny specks of firework in them for the first bunch! I figured it out a little later, but my first attempts certainly didn’t turn out like these (which are lovely).
