Yesterday, we stopped off in Tarifa to stare across the Strait of Gibraltar at the other continent. It was a bit hazy, but you can still make out Morocco.

So close. Taking the ferry from there to Tangiers is on my bucket list!

We’ve been talking about that, but there just isn’t enough time! Gibraltar tomorrow. The monkeys are waiting 🙂

Not that much… a few street signs in Arabic.

Cool! From where I sit right now, I can see an old woman getting out of a taxi. And my breakfast. Probably not very photo-worthy.

It’s a great view of Morocco from Tariffa, isn’t it? Hope you have a great time in Gibraltar tomorrow 🙂 Will you be walking or driving across the runway? 😉

We’re not sure what the best approach it. Any suggestions? Take the car into Gibraltar or leave it outside?

I’ve heard mixed reports – sometimes there are long queues either in or back out again – and sometimes not. I quite enjoyed walking over the border last time I went. It’s easily walkable whatever you decide 🙂
Have fun!

This reminds me of when Sarah Palin claimed International Relations experience because she “could see Russia from her backyard”. God I miss the insanity that woman brought to the news. 🙂

She sure was entertaining… and when she wasn’t saying anything stupid, her family “events” would fill the gaps. Oh, how I miss those days 😉

Ceuta is pretty interesting too, a bit of a mix of the influence of the African continent and Spanish. Friendly people too.

There is a fast ferry across from Algeciras if you have a day to spare! Or at least there was in 2002 http://smallbluegreenwords.wordpress.com/2013/11/09/eviva-espana/
