A Breakfast Outing. From Which I Almost Didn’t Return.

This morning, a dear family friend picked us (Mum and moi) up for a luxurious lakeside breakfast:

This was meant to be for two people... but we struggled to manage it between the three of us ;-)

This was meant for two people… we struggled to manage it between the three of us πŸ˜‰

We combined the feast with a little walk around the lake (the Ammersee), whereby, embarrassingly, I managed to get lost in the woods! I blame the camera. My mum had left her phone at home, which didn’t help. We found each other again after about 45 fraught minutes and a lot of yelling. I’m trying to convince myself that the handful of photos I came away with were worth that rather stressful interlude. What’cha think…?

Sorry, but I was laughing so hard at the idea of someone getting lost over breakfast that I could hardly see the photos πŸ˜‰ The breakfast looked amazing – everything after that is a teary blur πŸ˜‰

Lost in the woods… I am surprised you didnt pitch a fit over the dangers of nature!
I just had half a beer (it’s 7:45 am) to help me get over a bottle of wine I had while in the office till 2 am last night (my boss killed the other bottle #welcometothepressoffice). Breakfast photo made me a bit nauseated.

good thing you’ve got lost after food. With full stomach one at least can think straight… eventually. And now these nice photos come with some extra spicy background πŸ˜‰
But my gods that HUGE quantity of food. It could almost feed a whole unit! πŸ˜€

Next woods adventure you might consider those child safety leashes that attach to ones wrist with velcro, some even sport backpacks – for camera equipment or cake πŸ™‚

Scary getting lost in the woods … gives me cold sweats in sympathy for you. That was one glorius breakfast though and the photos seem to me worth the scare … Lovely post!
